This website has been up for ten years now. Though the contents may have shifted and the design may have changed significantly, and people have come and went, this site has stood the test of time.

Ten years of dedication to Takeuchi-sensei. Ten years of helping people learn about this author and following her from the time she was single to the time she married Togashi-sensei through the birth of their son and many new and exciting events.

I hope to keep this site going for as long as possible. I hope that more people come and I hope that perhaps some day Takeuchi-sensei will visit herself. (When I'm bilingual Japanese). But I can still dream.

New things in the Sailor Moon section

I'm working on the Sailor Moon section of the website, though I'll work with the other sections of the website soon as well.

I hope to make a cute version update of Takeuchi-sensei's section of the website and to version up some of the other sections, such as Chocolate Christmas. I'm also giving Mako-chan the password to PQ Angels. Haha. I haven't done that yet.

I hope to have good material for this site's anniversary--I'm adding photos of Shiba Shrine that I haven't posted before and some photos of Tokyo and the Juuban district. Tokyo tower too! Yay.

Switched Servers

Things may be wonky for a few days as the server's DNS transmits and tries to fix itself.

Sailor Moon's section has been fixed and not longer is redirecting towards Malware. I switched servers because the answer from my host was nothing. Mako-chan is working really hard on this section. So be sure to thank her. I'm personally working out the other bugs as well. I apologize for all of the confusion and problems with the previous host.

Please have faith in me that I hate hacking with a HUGE passion. I lose money on this site and plan to continue to lose money on this site. =P The Whois should reflect a change in servers.

Oh and it might be a few weeks before the malware warning comes off the site from google. I've removed the problem and notified Google. So I hope to have it functioning again soon.

Again, I sincerely apologize and am trying my best to get everything working again.

New Front Page Design

I converted to a .css layout for better search engine compatibility. I hope everyone likes it... I used colors that Takeuchi-sensei would have liked. She also likes Art Nouveau, so I tried to find a font that was Art Nouveau.

I'm also intending to clean up her section of the website without frames 'cause it looks sloppy and like a royal mess.

I can't do that much more since I have school, but I'll try to do more for the site as I go. In the meantime, I'm working on my Deviant Art, and helping with her her fanclub on there.

Takeuchi-sensei's B-day is coming up so I'm working on the website. I might not be able to do as much as previous years because I have school work, but I'll try my hardest. I already sent my present. How about you?

I'm brainstorming ideas for a front page overhaul. ^_^ I hope people like it.

Shiba Daijingu

About 3.5 blocks from where Takeuchi-sensei went to college there is a shrine called Shiba Daijingu. This is here she worked for a number of years while in college and got hit on. This experience led her to write a miko called Rei Hino later on.

While in Japan I visited this shrine and found her college. If you find her college, you go to the AM and P there and they will tell you where the shrine is. Which is pretty much straight from the AM&P in the direction it faces, then on the right side, go one block, turn right go two blocks and you are there. You'll end up at the side of the shrine. If you climb the long steps up, you'll find a small shrine dedicated to the Sun Goddess Ameratsu. _The_ Goddess of Japanese Shintoism. If you look around the corner and in various places, some of the objects may look familiar... And that's because they are. The opening gate to the shrine and many of the features, such as the huge white torii are in the Hikawa Shrine in the manga. In fact, the placement of many of the objects in the manga is similar and in places that it is not in the Hikawa shrines. Showing that this shrine was an influence.

I also took it upon myself to look for her phone number while in Tokyo Tower and in Minato-ku, but the hpoine books are thin since everyone in Japan has a cellphone... so I couldn't find her number... and believe me I looked under Princess Naoko, Takeuchi Naoko, and PNP... I loked for her through all of the names I knew. Nothing.

I requested he take a photo with a 30% overlap so I could remake it in photoshop... indeed, if you take it and print it out it will be a 360 degree view of Shiba Daijingu. It's nice in Kyoto, and I'm making a point to go to Shiba Daijingu Shrine (in Minato-ku Tokyo). It's the one where Takeuchi-sensei worked. So I'm taking pictures of it. Expect those either in a few days or at the end of this month.

Every year no matter how poorly I'm doing I always update the website on Takeuchi-sensei's birthday with at least *something.*

1. I worked on a birthday present. I started this project in 2001, but finished it after seriously working for 2 years. It's my Bishoujo Sailormoon Manga Tarot Card Deck.

I worked hard to make sure the meanings of the cards matched with the characters, etc. I followed certain rules and tried my best to preserve as much of Takeuchi-sensei's art as possible. I also emulated her style of coloring as closely as I could manage. It was really difficult, especially the descreentoning. Because I did this, it consumed most of the time away from remaking the website.

2. I redid the front page design. I deleted the sections I can't take care of right now. I rather be responsible. I'll add games and other stuff later. Like quizzes.

3. I posted some interviews with Takeuchi-sensei. They are very, very old, but I can't find them on the internet anymore. If anyone knows the whereabouts of said translators, please contact me, currently I couldn't find them, though I'm leaving credit up to them. My Favorite with Kia Asamiya is in the stack. It has things like

4. I enabled comments for passersby, but you have to type in the code to do so. I've turned on moderation as well. Feel free to leave comments on the blog.

In the next week I'll try to do general clean up. I can't promise much because I'm dealing with a lot of personal problems right now. Also a heads up. I'll be gone in May. From May 2 to May 30th. I'll be getting pictures of the shrine that Takeuchi-sensei worked at. (Shiba Shrine). I'm going to leave the website with a temporary admin until I get back. They won't be able to do much, but they will be able to inform me of outages, hacking, etc.

I want to open more sections too. I'll try to do that before May. (Especially since my Japanese has gotten decent enough to summarize manga).

The other one was hard for me to upkeep. This one will be easier. =P. In addition I was having trouble with the includes, the blog software hadn't been updated in years. This one will be much easier to upkeep. And low and behold, Sailor Moon section will get one too, making it easier on Mako... I'll add in the previous updates into this post next... with the dates.

I've been spending the last few months trying to crack the problem, and basically gave up. PHP5 conversion was rough.
